Neighbourhood workshops

Attendees at the Pictoplasma Conference in Berlin, Germany were given a chance to rework the blank stuffed shapes provided.

Armed with scissors, cotton, materials, needles, safety pins, glue, pens, stuffing and sewing machines, a rapidly formed Neighbourhood soon emerged from the mass of triangular, circular and rectangular blobs, merging with piles of loose arms and legs, discarded buttons and bizarre fabric offcuts.

The process, spurred on by the exchange of enthusiasm and energy in the room and uninhibited by distance, delivery and pressure, resulted in one hundred remixes in the space of only two days.
